The third edition of Teeling’s Wonders of Wood bottlings consists of its Single Pot Still crafted from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, which has been triple distilled in the Dublin distillery and fully matured in virgin Swedish oak casks.

This special release is bottled at 50% abv with no chill filtration. In partnership with the Tree Council of Ireland, each release in the Wonders of Wood series will help to plant exclusively native Irish tree Species in Teeling’s designated acre of land in Ireland.

Tasting notes

NOSE: Light, floral with citurs fruits, hints of caramel, and cooked barley. 

PALATE: Rich and full flavoured with herbs, candied ginger, almond and treacle.

FINISH: Dry Finish with light black pepper spice and nutmeg.

Whiskey making and entrepreneurship has been in the Teeling genes as far back as 1782, when Walter Teeling set up a small craft distillery on Marrowbone Lane in the industrial heart of Dublin City.

Since 2012, Jack and Stephen Teeling, the latest generation of Teeling Whiskey makers, have been putting their own mark on Irish Whiskey and came full circle in 2015 when they proudly opened the new Teeling Whiskey Distillery just down the road from where the original family distillery once stood. The Teeling Whiskey Distillery today is the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years.

Since then, Teeling Whiskey has been sweeping Whiskey Awards and growing from strength to strength. This is certainly a brand to watch.
