Old Ballantruan is produced at the Tomintoul distillery in Speyside as is their peated version, that is distilled from heavily peated barley. This heavily peated (55 ppm) Tomintoul was made from barley which was malt dried with slow burning peat from a local peat bog in the Speyside region.

Colour : Barley gold
Nose : Gentle “peat -reek” with mild gun-flint notes softened by sweet, mature, creamy Speyside malt. Hints of herbal-heathery spice.
Palate : The smokiness is very apparent yet soft and tempered with toffee-sweetness and gentle oaky spice.
