The name Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic, “Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain” which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and Campbeltown now stands. Glengyle now produces a range of Kilkerran Single Malt whiskies, all natural in colour and non-chill filtered. All Kilkerran whisky characterises typical Campbeltown drams; rich, complex and perfectly balanced.

Distilled at the Glengyle Distillery of Campbeltown, this very heavily peated whisky comes from a single ex-bourbon cask that yielded just 246 bottles. This bottling featuring the Single & Available (S&A) logo on the back label, was made exclusively for Single & Available in Malaysia, and was released to celebrate Glengyle’s 2oth anniversary following its launch in 2004.
Bottled at 55.1%, this is a rare and glorious example of what Kilkerran’s peated whisky is all about — sweet, mineralic and smokey, with that signature coastal brine of Campbeltown’s malt whisky.
NOSE: A waft of peat smoke, before opening up to subtler notes of light citrus, honey and coastal brine.
PALATE: The palate follows with peat smoke, hints of lemon drops, oysters, sea salt, smoked oak, and pepper.
FINISH: A herbal finish of aniseed, spices and coastal influences.
