This Bunnahabhain Moine PX is a limited edition single malt of exceptional character, finished in sherry casks for a peaty richness of smoke and pepper that is matched only by its sweetly beguiling flavours of vanilla, figs, roasted nuts and caramel.
First distilled on September 5, 1997, the whisky was first filled and matured in traditional oak whisky casks before being transferred to PX casks on the March 10, 2016. It was matured at the coastal warehouses on Bunnahabhain Bay. Only 1,661 bottles were produced.
Notes
COLOUR: Rich amber.
NOSE: Sultanas, figs & dried fruit with sweet berries, balanced with a peppery smokiness.
PALATE: Roasted nuts, fig rolls, vanilla and caramel, sweet mouth feel with a layered character – sweet and fruity developing to peppery smoke.
FINISH: Peppery sweet.

Pronounced boon-na-ha-ven, the whisky is distilled at the Bunnahabhain distillery, situated at the end of a small single track road, on the shores of the Sound of Islay, Bunnahabhain is known for its spectacular surroundings and delicious signature unpeated Islay Single Malt Whisky.
Starting in 1881, the Bunnahabhain distillery relied heavily on sea trade and as such till today boasts its own jetty.
