A traditional Mexican liqueur made using dried poblano chilies.
Ancho Reyes Verde uses chillies that are harvested earlier, while they are still green. A portion of the poblano chiles are fire roasted. The poblano chiles express a bright, crisp, and fresh heat. The poblano chiles used in Ancho Reyes Verde are mashed. and steeped in neutral cane spirit for 6 months. Then left in small vats to be blended together and marry.
Compared with the Ancho Reyes Original, the Verde is more ‘green’, fresh chilli and citrus note. Excellent for spicing up margaritas.
