A world’s first! This innovative expression pushes the boundaries of Irish Whiskey craftsmanship through the use of a highly atypical mash bill and innovative cask maturation techniques, as a limited expression of Teeling’s award-winning Single Malt.

The Teeling Crystal Single Malt was awarded Masters at the highly prestigious Irish Whiskey Masters in 2023.

Crystal Malt is created when the sugars that are naturally formed during the traditional malting process are crystallised through heat treatment in a closed system that prevents the moisture from escaping. This produces a highly distinctive toffee-like flavour, along with hints of tropical fruits. The Teeling Crystal Malt is made with a recipe of Distillers Malt & Crystal Malted barley, and underwent dual fermentation with Distillers Yeast & White Wine Yeast. It was then triple distilled, and aged in Virgin American Oak barrels.

NOSE: Green apple, stewed pears, with hints of brown sugar, vanilla and light oak shavings.

PALATE: A burst of toffee coats the palate with apple pie spice and fresh pastries, followed by a honeyed sweetness.

FINISH: Long luxurious finish with notes of soft cinnamon spice and caramel.
