This Single Cask Release from Wemyss comes from the distillery of Inchgower, a coastal distillery within the Speyside region. Most of its malt whisky goes into the Bell’s blend of Scotch, but we have the rare chance to taste this through this independent bottling. Sweet and comforting with warm ginger, toasted hazelnut and spice on the finish.
Tasting notes
NOSE: Creamy, sweet ginger notes hit you instantly upon nosing – reminding you of freshly baked ginger nut biscuits! There’s a slight smokiness behind which gives real depth. The addition of water dissipates, revealing traces of hazelnuts.
PALATE: The creaminess and ginger are replicated on the palate, alongside a sweet smokiness.
FINISH: A drying, spicy and lingering finish.
